Bonsai is all about planning ahead. If we want our trees to look good next year, or in 5 years, there are things we need to be doing for them right now. So Bonsai folks should be good at planning ahead. But if I don't put something on my calendar, I will often miss it.
So I want to encourage everyone to put the Pacific Bonsai Expo on their calendar. It will be this October 26-27 in Oakland. You will need to get tickets to attend. When you go, you will see some of the best trees in the country. There will also be many vendors selling trees, tools, pots, soil, books, T-shirts and more.
I had a great time when I went to the last expo 2 years ago, and am looking forward to this year's show.
